While most people don’t really think too hard about their building’s steam boiler, for facility directors and managers, there’s a lot more to steam boiler repair than meets the eye.
For the majority of States across the U.S. steam boiler repair, by law, must be performed by an organization in possession of a valid Certificate issued by the National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors. Generally recognized by the “R” Stamp Symbol, this certification means that the companies making the repairs have gone through a rigorous authorization process for R Stamp welding which ensures a safe and reliable steam boiler repair that is made under warranty.
General & Mechanical Services (GMS) performs R stamp welding and holds the Certificate of Authorization and “R” stamp symbol for the repair and/or alteration of boilers, pressure vessels and other pressure-retaining items. This means that we follow a rigorous Quality System to cover the scope of steam boiler repairs or alterations to be made. After the repairs are made, GMS will complete the required forms and deliver it to the owner signed by an authorized inspector.
