- Central Plant/Mission Critical installation and service, including “R” stamp repairs on pressure vessels.
GMS can handle all your needs, from the mechanical heartbeat of the chillers, boilers and medical gas systems to the electrical pulse of the switchgear, transformers and generator sets.
- GMS is a leading distributor of UVDI’s Ultraviolet light systems.
These systems, once installed, will increase the air quality while minimizing the need for maintenance on existing HVAC units. This system kills mold and bacteria that breed in dark, damp air conditioning systems. The results are cleaner air, less worker absences and increased productivity. These systems usually pay for themselves within 3 years or less based on energy savings realized from the optimization of the HVAC system’s performance. There will no longer be need for expensive and dangerous chemical and mechanical cleaning of the coils.
Health Care Data Center Network Critical Physical Infrastructure provider.
Includes racks, rack cooling, power distribution systems, UPS systems, generator sets, transfer switches, data center heat analysis imagery (thermography) services. With the enactment of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), hospitals must have alternate data storage of all their data. Having complete patient records, including films and all types of paper forms that must be scanned in, take up massive amounts of storage. The increased security measures imposed by the act require passwords and automatic lock outs to keep medical information protected. In the past, CD’s and other removable storage devices were used to keep much of the hospital’s data. These removable devices pose a great security risk because they are easily misplaced and/or concealed. Hospitals now must rely on larger servers to safeguard medical records. With newer and denser servers being installed, they produce much more heat requiring advanced data center cooling.
- The Sarbanes-Oxley Act, Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act and other such legislation have had a profound impact on data storage at many facilities.
The SOX Act requires the storage of all relevant financial data, including e-mails. GLB necessitates financial institutions store and protect any financial information with the company. This kind of legislation leaves companies with a need for a data center that can handle the increase in information. When upgrading to more dense servers or simply adding more server racks to your data center, proper cooling and backup power is essential to safeguard against potential problems.
