John W. Miller Jr.

As estimator, John is responsible for material takeoffs, equipment selections and labor estimating. John joined GMS in January of 2005 and brings almost 40 years of industry experience to the company.

A master plumber and gas fitter, John began his trade in 1972 at Local Union 782 in Seaford, DE. After serving a 5-year apprenticeship, he became a journeyman in 1976. Over his career, he has designed, installed and overseen work in all phases of the plumbing and pipefitting industry. He has experience working on condos, single-family homes, townhouses, stores, and gas refineries, as well as gas-fired, coal-fired, and nuclear powerhouses. In addition, John has worked as a quality control technician in all phases for the piping industry. John has OSHA, backflow and medical gas certifications.

Currently living in Delaware, John enjoys hunting, fishing and golfing when not spending time with his wife, two children and three grandchildren.
